Together with families, we cultivate compassionate hearts, curious minds, and courageous spirits ready to make a difference in the world.
Preschool
At Brilliant Stars Montessori Home, we welcome children ages 2 to 5 into a nurturing preschool program designed to prepare them for a smooth transition to formal schooling. Through a balance of play-based exploration and purposeful activities, we spark their love for learning and inspire their natural creativity.
After School
Our after-school program offers a perfect balance of relaxed play and stimulating activities. Children have the opportunity to unwind, socialize, and participate in enriching experiences that complement their learning journey.
Montessori Approach
The Montessori Method, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori (1870–1952), is based on her discovery that children learn best when given the freedom to explore in a thoughtfully prepared environment. She observed that young minds naturally absorb knowledge from their surroundings, and that with the right materials and guidance, they can teach themselves.
In Montessori classrooms, children make choices, work at their own pace, and engage in hands-on activities that spark curiosity and independence. Through individual and group exploration, they gain knowledge of the world while developing the confidence, focus, and skills needed to reach their fullest potential—a timeless approach that continues to inspire learning across the globe.

Sensitive Periods
Dr. Maria Montessori observed that children pass through unique stages—called sensitive periods—when they are especially receptive to learning specific skills. These windows of opportunity, most prominent from birth to age six, align with key developmental milestones: order, sensory skills, movement, language, and social skills. Each period lasts only as long as needed to master a skill, then fades. Montessori classrooms support these stages with purposeful, hands-on activities that encourage repetition, exploration, and problem-solving.
Order
From birth to about age five, children are drawn to routine, structure, and organization. This sensitivity helps them develop reasoning skills and understand their surroundings. Consistent schedules, clear rules, and orderly spaces provide the security and clarity they seek.
Sensory Skills
Between birth and age five, children refine their senses—touch, taste, sight, smell, and hearing. From ages one to three, they often fixate on tiny details or small objects. From 2.5 to 6 years, they actively explore and classify their environment through sensory experiences, building a deeper understanding of the world.
Movement
From birth to 2.5 years, children focus on developing gross and fine motor skills, from crawling and walking to grasping objects. Between 2.5 and 4.5 years, they refine coordination, strength, and control through activities that develop the pincer grip, bilateral hand use, and precise movements.
Language
From birth to age six, children move through spoken language, writing, and reading. Spoken language develops from 7 months to 3 years, followed by writing skills (3.5–4.5 years) built on phonetic awareness. Reading often emerges before writing is fully mastered.
Social Skills
From 2.5 to 6 years, children become aware of themselves as part of a group. They begin forming friendships, cooperating, and learning social norms. This is an ideal time to introduce manners, empathy, and positive interaction habits.
